Shadin Avionics introduces the AIS-361 CSDB Converter; a unit that will receive any ARINC 429 label and retransmit on a Commercial Standard Data Bus allowing for integration into avionics systems requiring CSDB inputs. The converter may be used also to receive CSDB messages and retransmit on ARINC 429. Most applications will transmit the data in the order it is received, however, scheduling or collecting specific messages to convert and transmit is possible from the data stream. The converter is commonly used in navigation and communication radio systems. Applications include integration of distance measuring equipment (DME), VHF omnidirectional range (VOR), instrument landing system (ILS), air data, autopilot, flight director, transponder, and more.
